Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the statement by the heads of the breakaway republics of DND and LNR Igor Carpenter and Alexander Zakharchenko on the termination of deliveries of coal to Ukraine in case of continuation of the railway blockade.
In particular, they talked about the threat to shift to the Russian market. Asked to comment on this statement, Peskov said that it is not about “say now”.
Earlier today a statement was issued, according to which Plotnitsky and Zakharchenko announced that if to 00:00 Wednesday (1 March 2017) the embargo is not lifted, there will be external management was introduced at all enterprises of the Ukrainian jurisdiction who work in the DNI and LC. It was also stated that the self-proclaimed Republic will cease to supply coal to Ukraine, because “the supply of coal there is neither the capacity nor the scheme of payment”.
