SOCHI, February 25. /TASS/. The term “ostentatious military unit” are excluded from the lexicon of the Russian army, said Russian defense Minister army General Sergei Shoigu.

“The word “ostentatious” I from your vocabulary and our army dictionary simply deleted. What do you mean “ostentatious regiment”? And to fight who will? One such “ostentatious military unit”? And what if all the rest?”, Shoigu said in an interview “Match TV” at the III winter World military games held in Sochi.

However, he noted that there is a task set by the President of Russia: almost all military units of the Russian Armed forces should be the units of permanent readiness. “And they have become,” said the Minister.

This work, according to him, are aimed at “as soon as possible we have forgotten the period of stagnation, when it was not clear where we are, how we build, what direction are we moving?”.

“Thank God, now much time has passed since that day when we realized where we go, what we do. Every day our country becomes stronger, it becomes easier to live and to confidently be able to say: we never lost one generation,” – said Shoigu.
