The defense Ministry of Japan wants to discuss with Shoigu, the Russian plans to deploy military in the Kuril Islands

The Japan’s defense Minister Tomomi Inada announced that it intends to discuss in the spring with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu plans to deploy divisions of the Kuril Islands. About it writes RIA Novosti with reference to the Agency Kyodo.



“If possible, I will hold talks with Mr Shoigu, which would frankly much to discuss,” she said.



Earlier it was reported that the talks between the foreign Ministers and defense of the Russian Federation and Japan, Sergei Lavrov and Fumio Kishida and Sergei Shoigu, and Tomomi Inada in the format of “two plus two” is scheduled for March 20.



The Minister of defence of Russia Sergey Shoigu, speaking in the Duma, said about the plans to deploy in the Kuril placement division of the Russian troops. After that, Japan sent a protest to Russia in connection with his statements. As stressed by Inada, the statement Shoigu contrary to the position of Tokyo relative “of its ancestral territories.”
