Putin has congratulated inhabitants of Sevastopol on the Day of defender of the Fatherland
MOSCOW, 23 Feb — RIA Novosti. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated with the Day of the people’s will and the defender of the Fatherland Day inhabitants of the hero city of Sevastopol, said the Kremlin.
“23 Feb 2014 became the Sevastopol is truly a momentous day. Thousands of its inhabitants acted as a United front against the coup, gave a resolute rebuff to the radical, nationalist forces, who by their aggressive actions tried to intimidate all who were opposed to arbitrariness and lawlessness. Sevastopol showed strength and courage, defended their native city, together with the Crimeans expressed their strong will to be with Russia”, — Putin said.
He added that Sevastopol is rightfully proud of its history, Patriotic, cultural and spiritual traditions.
“And we have a lot to do for a sustainable, prosperous future is to develop the economy and urban infrastructure, health and education, to create modern jobs. I am sure that together we will solve these important and ambitious goals”, — concluded the President.
