The threat of full-scale war with Russia Poroshenko said on 22 February. “This threat is not only seeps through not controlled by us border areas in the Donbass, it hangs on the border line with Russia, and even more. This makes us believe in the enemy intentions on the part of Russia”, — he said.

The Ukrainian leader also urged the Baltic republics and Belarus to be ready “for any surprises from Moscow”.

February 17, Poroshenko accused the Russian leadership of “hatred in Ukraine”.

Kiev constantly accuses Russia of aggressive intentions and involvement in the conflict in the South-East of Ukraine. The Ukrainian courts do not recognize the fact of the armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine. Moscow, for its part, rejects the allegations, citing a lack of evidence, and emphasizes that it is not involved in the Ukrainian crisis.
