A positive view on Russia is shared by 28 percent of Americans, which is 2 percent less than in 2016. the Opposite view is held by 70 percent of respondents.

As noted in Gallup, the largest increase in the number of sympathetic to Putin and Russia is observed among supporters of the Republican party. If in 2015 the figure was 12%, now 32%. At the same time in the Democratic party opposite pattern: a positive to the President of the Russian Federation are only 10 percent of its supporters, which is six percent less than two years earlier.

A similar situation exists in the relationship to Russia: positive it includes 35 percent of Republicans and only 16 percent of Democrats.

As suggested in Gallup, the determining factor in this case is a friendly attitude to Putin, the new President of the USA of Donald trump. At the same time, a crucial role will be played by the ability of Washington and Moscow to agree on key issues.

The survey was conducted from 1 to 5 February 2017, was attended by over 1 thousand residents of all 50 States.

In early February a survey conducted by YouGov, showed that a third of people in the US called Russia a hostile state, another 22 percent consider it the enemy of his country. In the list of enemies of the United States, Russia was in sixth place in the list of hostile countries is the second after China.
