Russians will be able to visit Armenia on internal passports
MOSCOW, 22 Feb — RIA Novosti. Citizens of the Russian Federation from February 23 will be able to visit Armenia on internal passports, said the Minister of foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov.
“I would like to Express my satisfaction, that tomorrow comes into force a change in the agreement on visa-free travel, under which Russian citizens can visit Armenia on internal passports” — he said after talks with foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
The government of Armenia on 16 February, approved the new rules of entry for Russians. Thus the authorities intend to increase the tourist flow.
The Minister of justice of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan had earlier said that when crossing the border, passports will not put any marks on the entry to the documents are not expired.
