The government sent 10.3 billion rubles to support Russian universities

The Russian government has disposed to allocate in 2017 from the Federal budget of 10.3 billion rubles in subsidies 21 Russian universities to improve their competitiveness among leading research and educational centers. This was reported on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Cabinet in 2013, provides a state selected according to the results of the competition between Russia’s leading universities in order to facilitate joining by 2020 at least five Russian universities in the first hundred of the world ranking.

In 2013, state support was provided to 15 higher education institutions in 2014 and in 2015 14, 2016-m — 21.

The number receiving state support to universities such as MIPT, MEPhI, MISIS, Higher school of Economics, far Eastern Federal University, medical University named after I. M. Sechenov, Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University Peter the Great, Ural Federal University named after Yeltsin, PFUR.
