TASS-FILE. February 20, 2017 in new York, has died, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin. The diplomat became famous for his striking statements at the meetings of the UN security Council and comments to the press. His witty, and sometimes sarcastic statement was widely quoted in the media and earned respect even from his political opponents.
