The Kremlin explained the recognition of the passports of the LC and the DNI humanitarian considerations
This decree has not violated international law, said the press Secretary of the Russian President.
MOSCOW, February 20. /TASS/. The decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on the recognition of passports issued by the LC and DNR signed for humanitarian reasons, as Kiev is blocking their own regions.
These passports are actually issued by the documents and not the documents officially recognized state, said the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
“As for the (statement) of the President Poroshenko, it is not — we do not agree that this decree in no way goes against international law and in violation of international law — said the representative of the Kremlin. — You know what de jure is just the alignment situation that was de facto. Because for humanitarian reasons it is necessary to do to recognize these actually issued travel documents”.
Previously Peskov reported that the residents of the unrecognized republics are unable to obtain social and legal assistance from Ukrainian authorities, and are unable to replace worn out existing Ukrainian passports and other documents.
