Popkultury festival Comic Con was first held in Saudi Arabia, a country where the main Holy city of Islam, Mecca and Medina. About it reports Reuters.

Saudi Arabia — the country where the study of magic, homosexuality, and extramarital relations are punishable by death — is now developing its entertainment industry taking aim not depend on oil prices. Saudi Comic Con was held in Jeddah, which, as the home for the festival of California, San Diego, located on the coast of the sea. It is just about 20 thousand visitors, some of them were in costumes of comic book characters and video games.

Comic Con festival the annual international festival held in the United States since 1970. It is dedicated to various phenomena of popular culture, TV series, literature, horror, animation, anime, manga, toys, collectible card games, video games, fantasy novels and web comics.
