Pentagon chief James Mattis said that Russia and terrorism are the most serious threats to NATO.

According to the American military, Moscow should act on the basis of principles of international law in order to resume dialogue with the United States and NATO. Mattis noted that Washington is not yet ready to cooperate with Russia in military issues.

In addition, the head of the Pentagon did not respond to the words of his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu about the futility of conducting a security dialogue with Moscow. Mattis is almost no doubt that Russia interfered in the elections in other countries.

Mattis also stressed that the United States will comply with all obligations to the Alliance.
