At the Moscow Biennale will give lectures on contemporary art

As part of the educational program of the Moscow international Biennale of contemporary art will host a series of lectures. It is reported by the POLENTA.

“Any classical art was once contemporary, but after years and centuries is perceived as a sum of knowledge that do not need to be tested and no doubt. However, many phenomena in the history of art was a battleground of ideas and clashes of different audience reactions. This educational program is designed to acquaint the public with art history and to show that the new art is no worse and no more difficult of the old”, — explained the Director of the Tretyakov gallery Zelfira Tregulova.

Lectures will be given by head of Department of the newest currents of the State Russian Museum Alexander Borovsky, the Dean of the history faculty of Moscow state University Ivan Tuchkov, Director of the Tretyakov gallery Zelfira Tregulova. Just scheduled 20 meetings. To attend the event everyone will be able to write. The first lecture entitled “”Old masters” and “New art”: Who is more modern in 2017″ will be held on Saturday, February 18, in the Tretyakov gallery. Read art historian Arkady Ippolitov.
