USA pondered the establishment of a middle East equivalent of NATO

Moscow. 16 Feb. INTERFAX.RU — the United States and a number of middle Eastern countries are working on creating a new military Alliance in the middle East, said Wednesday the Wall Street Journal, with references to Arabic sources.

According to the plan of Washington, the main goal of the new structure — the confrontation policy of Iran. It will provide collective defence against any aggression on the same principles, where there is a NATO: an attack on one ally would be perceived as an attack on the Alliance as a whole.

In addition, the tasks of the organization will act in Israel’s intelligence information.
