CNN reported on the preparation by the Pentagon of a ground operation in Syria

Moscow. 16 Feb. INTERFAX.RU — for the first time, the Pentagon is considering sending in regular ground combat troops in the Northern part of Syria in order to “accelerate the fight against ISIS (banned in Russia),” reports on Wednesday by CNN, citing officials from the Ministry.
“It is possible that conventional forces “will stay on the ground” in Syria for some time”, — quotes its words TV channel. The unnamed official stressed that “any decision ultimately rests with the President.”
If this idea is approved by trump in the coming weeks, it will fundamentally change the military operation of the USA in Syria, says CNN
