John McCain said on Russian missiles as a threat to the US army

US Senator from Arizona John McCain said about “a significant military threat to the US armed forces and NATO allies” with Russia. Thus politician commented on the publication of The New York Times about the alleged violation of a 1987 Treaty on the elimination of intermediate-range nuclear forces (INF).

According to the statement of Senator McCain, the deployment of cruise missiles is a “test of the new US administration”. The politician demanded a “substantive response” and urged the us leader to “take immediate action to strengthen our deterrent position in Europe and to defend our allies.”

In addition, the Senator called for the modernization of U.S. nuclear weapons with the goal “to be ready to counter Russian nuclear doctrine”.

Previously, the NYT published an article, according to which Russia has secretly deployed on its territory a cruise missile that violates the Treaty of 1987 on the elimination of INF. Recall that the reduction of nuclear weapons was one of the conditions for easing the sanctions regime put by the President of the United States Donald trump.
