The official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that the Russian diplomats do not bring from the travel goods in the sanctions list. It is reported TASS with reference to “Nashe Radio”.
“I really didn’t know that there exists a myth that diplomats “zapresheno” carry. This is really some of the myths… I say to myself and those colleagues with whom I fly… to be Honest, it’s even somehow undignified,” – said Zakharov.
She explained that while the Ministry of foreign Affairs use only diplomatic passports, so “no one anywhere abroad for cheeses and other “zapresheno” not leaving”.
In Russia since August 2014 a ban on the importation of products from countries that have imposed sanctions in connection with accession of the Crimea and the situation in the Donbass. The embargo was extended to the supply of beef, pork, fruit, vegetables, poultry, fish, cheese, milk and dairy products and live fish. These measures, government has substantiated the need to ensure food security.
