MOSCOW, 11 Feb — RIA Novosti. Cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky photographed from the ISS construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait and published a picture in Instagram.

“The scale project of the century is impressive even from space”, — said Novitsky.

This week the builders started to build arches arches of a bridge with a height of 45 meters. Arch spans with a length of 227 meters will be installed using a pontoon system, which is now made in Sevastopol.

The length of the bridge across the Kerch Strait will be 19 kilometers, it will become the longest in Russia. According to the plan, auto traffic on the bridge will start in December 2018, the railway in December 2019.
