The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin called what happened to accused of Nazism football player Roman Zozulya a provocation by Russia. The words of the official UNIAN cites.
“We try from the beginning to help him. And we know that what happened is a deliberate provocation, when several ultras left wing completely cynically used. Therefore such provocations, and they will happen next, we know from the Russian side,” — said Klimkin.
The Minister also added that his Department will help the Cuckoo “not only politically, but also emotionally”.
Wednesday, February 8, it was reported that the fans of Bayern supported Zozulya accused of Nazism by Spanish fans.
On 7 February it became known that the cuckoo will remain in the “Betis” without the right to enter the field.
Zozulya joined Rayo Vallecano on 1 February, despite the fact that the fans of the club in your community on Twitter accused him of supporting Nazism. On the same day they refused to lease Ukrainian and brought him back to Betis. Later the footballer was invited again to go to the “Rayo”.
It is known that the 27-year-old striker helped the Ukrainian army, leading the fighting in the South-East of the country. The player was put up for auction the medal he received for participating in the Europa League final in the “Dnepr” and promised to use the proceeds “for needs of fighters of anti-terrorist operation” (anti-terrorist operation in Kiev called the fighting in the Donbass).
