The President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad said he was willing to see American troops on its territory, among other anti-terrorist fighters in that case, if the motives of the United States will be true, this Syrian leader said in an interview with Yahoo News.
“If the Americans are sincere, they will welcome as any other country wishing to fight terrorism,” said Assad.
Thus, the Syrian President stressed that such actions must be carried out with respect for the sovereignty of Syria, similar to that expressed by the Russian Federation.
On the question of whether the U.S. and Russia to get along in Syria and fight with banned terrorist organization ISIS, Assad replied in the affirmative. According to him, this convergence is necessary.
