MOSCOW, February 9. /TASS/. Russia considers as a provocation, the human rights organization Amnesty International on the alleged mass executions in Syria’s Sednaya prison near Damascus. This was stated by the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

“I saw the report. It is regrettable appearance in the present moment, such a crucial from the perspective of the Syrian settlement, report on the alleged mass executions of opponents of the regime (Bashar) Assad in the Syrian military prison,” – said the diplomat.

“Essentially, we are faced with yet another deliberate provocation, whose purpose – to add fuel to the fading fire of the Syrian conflict and begin to pump a little quiet passion, and to force the Syrians is stronger than hate each other, – said Zakharov. The authors of the stuffing untrue material, this fake, do not bother even his own recognition that given their astronomical numbers of victims are the result of some arithmetic calculations that were made based on the evidence of unnamed persons.”

“In our opinion, the leadership of the respected human rights organization can and should become more discerning and responsible approach to such extremely dangerous fantasies of his Lebanese office”, – noted the diplomat.

Amnesty International published the report, which stated that in Sednaya prison during 2011-2015, was hanged 13 thousand prisoners. Under the version of defenders, most of them were “civilians”. In addition, the report contains information about the tortures allegedly systematically subjected prisoners.
