Deputies from LDPR in the state Duma introduced a bill repealing for the deputies the need to serve notice on the conduct of meetings with voters in the form of public events.

“The bill proposes to simplify the procedure of the organization a Deputy meeting with voters held in the form of public events, by eliminating the need for the notice”, — stated in the explanatory Memorandum.

Earlier the Deputy from “United Russia” Irina White submitted to the state Duma a draft law on the organization of meetings with voters in the form of public events. The bill proposes to reduce the term of notice for such public events in the relevant authorities before the 7 days before the day of the event (currently not later than 10 days).

However, as noted in the explanatory note, currently, the most common form of meetings of deputies with voters is a meeting that is organized and conducted without approval at any time.
