The Russian government will support the proposal to host the summer Olympics 2028 in the Northern capital. Writes about this TASS with reference to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak.
“At the present time, has received offers to host the summer Olympic games 2028 in Saint-Petersburg. The government proposal will be supported even if it entails some inconvenience in respect of citizens”, — said Kozak.
According to the Deputy head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Russia has already shown its organizational skills during the winter Olympics in Sochi. If the international Olympic Committee will propose and St. Petersburg residents approve it, the government will be ready to support the initiative.
