The acting head of Buryatia appointed former Deputy Minister of transport

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a decree appointing acting head of the Republic of Buryatia Alexey Tzudenova, previously held the position of Deputy Minister of transport of the Russian Federation. This is the website of the Kremlin.

During a working meeting with the President Tsydenov listed areas of work that, in his opinion, require special attention. “The first is, of course, natural [features of Buryatia] from the point of view of tourism development. The large reserves of minerals in demand (…). Good potential in agriculture. There is a small but still high-tech production, which in the framework of import substitution and current realities, too, [has] good enough prospects”, — said the acting Republic.

Tsydenov noted that the residents of Buryatia need quality roads, good living conditions and the built and social sphere, primarily healthcare and education. “There are certain ideas — I will try to implement it,” the official added.

Earlier on 7 February, the head of Buryatia Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn sent the President a letter asking about early retirement. The President has accepted the resignation Nagovitsyna.

Tsydenov was working on a post of the Deputy Minister of transport of the Russian Federation from June 2012. Before he headed Federal Agency of railway transport.
