Lavrov was surprised by the accusations of the opposition about Russia’s intervention in the Affairs of Venezuela

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow is surprised by allegations of meddling in the internal Affairs of Venezuela, RIA “Novosti”.

He said this at a press conference with his Venezuelan counterpart, Delcy Rodriguez.

According to Lavrov, Russia has consistently advocated that internal crises in any country was decided on the basis of the legislation through a dialogue between all political forces.

“We stressed that the international community should not interfere in these processes, but should, on the contrary, to support the establishment of such a dialogue within the Constitution”, – said the Minister.

The head of the Russian foreign Ministry when it seemed somewhat strange that the opposition to the President, the Parliament has committed itself to escalating confrontations with very serious potential consequences and accused Russia that it interferes in the internal Affairs of Venezuela.

Lavrov expressed the opinion that it is quite indicative of the position of the Parliament did not comment on the statements about Venezuela from other countries.

“For some reason, decided to comment on only the intervention of Russia with an appeal to uphold the laws and Constitution of the country”, – said the Minister.

According to him, this “double standards”. Lavrov also believes that in Venezuela organized a “color revolution” and that its members “did not care about the people… And only think about their geopolitical ambitions”.

Earlier, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia made an official statement in which he said that in Venezuela implemented a “color script”.
