ISIS changed tactics in Europe

The fight against banned terrorist organization “Islamic state” in recent years gives good results. However, there still remains the threat of terrorist acts. This was stated by UN Secretary-General, antónio Guterres, Interfax reports.


 


In the Secretary General’s report notes that jihadists increasingly take out their terrorist activities beyond the conflict regions – in other States, particularly in Europe.
 


 


Guterres sure that ISIS “uses his connections with cells” in other countries, in order to plan a terrorist attack. Thus, the probability of large-scale terrorist attacks. Special interest they show to airports and aircraft.
 


 


For recruiting new members and communication with his supporters warned the Secretary-General, extremists increasingly use tools such as encryption, anonymous computer network, a “dark” websites and instant messengers.



 


Guterres also said that the lion’s share of its funding to ISIL receives from the sale of oil and gas, as well as extortion and racketeering. For example, last year the Islamists due to the sale of hydrocarbons received about $260 million in Raw materials mostly came from the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor.
