Russia called cynicism demolition of the monument of brotherhood in arms in Poland

The Russian foreign Ministry called the demolition of the monument of brotherhood in arms in the Polish city of Zabrze in Silesia violation of resolution of the UN General Assembly on combating glorification of Nazism, said the foreign Ministry.

“The dismantling of the monument was a violation of the obligations undertaken by the Polish side under the current Russian-Polish agreements”, – stated in the message of the foreign Ministry.

It is noted that Moscow and Warsaw have pledged to preserve and protect cemeteries, burial monuments and other memorial sites.

“It emerges quite unattractive trend, highlighting the special cynicism of the actions of the Polish side: the dismantling of the monument was carried out on the eve of the 72nd anniversary of liberation from Nazi invaders”, – stated in the message.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian Embassy in Latvia has sent to the foreign Ministry a note once in Limbazi was demolished a monument to Soviet sailors.
