Observers Special monitoring mission (SMM) of the OSCE in Ukraine confirmed the deaths of “several” civilians in shelling in Avdeevka and Donetsk, reports RIA Novosti. Informed observers reported two victims of the attacks.
“The civilian population continues to suffer. Cease fire now”, – stated in the message on the official page of SMM on Twitter.
As reported by observers, the shelling wounded “quite a lot” of civilians in government-controlled Avdiivka in Donetsk, controlled by the DNI.
According to the official data, because of the massive shelling in Eastern Ukraine without heat and electricity remained more than 17 thousand inhabitants.
The situation in the East of Ukraine escalated in late January. Both sides accuse each other of violating the Minsk agreements and the “regime of Silence”. OSCE representatives urge to stop fighting.
