Erdogan will visit Russia in the first half of March

The Ambassador of Turkey in Russia Huseyn Dirioz said that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Moscow in the first half of March. About it reports “Interfax”.

According to the diplomat, during the visit will be the fourth meeting between Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Dirioz noted that the heads of state will discuss steps to improve bilateral relations.

Now Russia and Turkey are actively cooperating on the issue of the Syrian crisis. Ankara and Moscow are conducting a joint operation against banned terrorist of the “Islamic state”.

In the past year to resolve the crisis in relations between Russia and Turkey that occurred after the Turkish missile “air—air” was shot down by a Russian su-24 bomber. One of the pilots died. In response to the attack, Moscow imposed economic sanctions against Ankara. Later, Erdogan brought to the Russian side an official apology.
