The UN told how many people were left without water and heat in the devastated Avdeyevka

More than 17 thousand people, including about 2.5 thousand children were left without electricity, water and heating after fighting in the area of the settlement Avdeevka in the East of Ukraine. This was stated by the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), reports TASS.


 


“According to the UN Children’s Fund, more than 17 thousand people, including 2.5 thousand children, faced with the cold, having been left without heating, electricity or water supply after heavy fighting,” – said the press service of the organization.


 


UNICEF urged warring sides to grant access to international organizations for immediate repair destroyed infrastructure.


 


The settlement Avdiyivka is under fire APU from January 29. Due to the shelling of the city is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe.
