Polls have recorded a consistently high level of trust of Russians to Putin

The level of approval of activity of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin with citizens of the country remains high. This is evidenced by the results of the three weekly polls, which were conducted by the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM) in January and published on the organization’s website Thursday, February 2.

According to VTSIOM, in the period from 9 to 15 January has commended the work of the head of state 85.3% of respondents, and two weeks later — 85.6 percent.

Rating metric Putin in comparison with other civil servants in the last week (23-29 January) was nearly three percentage points higher than in the first — 54.3 percent. In the top three rankings endorse politicians also joined Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev (18.2 percent) and defence Minister Sergei Shoigu (17.7 percent).

The activity of the chief of the government in the first month of the year positively evaluated about 60 percent of respondents (60.7 per cent according to data for January 9-15 and 59.7 percent during 23-29 January). The work of the Cabinet in the last week of January was approved by 61.6% of respondents.

Research poll was conducted by telephone interviews. Daily interviewed 600 respondents of no less than 80 Russian regions.
