Ukraine has accused the Kremlin in the escalation of the situation in the Donbass

MFA of Ukraine published a letter on its official website in which he accused the Kremlin in the escalation of the situation in the Donbas.


 


“Such actions of the Kremlin can be qualified as a war crime, a gross violation of the Geneva conventions of 12 August 1949, is illegal, wanton and widespread destruction of property not justified by military necessity”, – is told in the letter text.


 


In the past day the situation in the Donbass deteriorated sharply. APU militants shelled districts of Makeevka, Avdeevka remained without light and heat, under fire was a month and a few settlements. The result is a sharp escalation of the conflict due to shelling from the Ukrainian side killed five civilians in Makiivka, about a dozen were injured. It is also reported about losses in the ranks of the APU. Over the past day killed 25 Ukrainian soldiers, about 40 were injured.
