Shuvalov announced Putin’s visit to Tajikistan

Russian President Vladimir Putin may visit a working visit to Tajikistan “in the coming weeks.” This was stated by first Vice-Premier of Russia Igor Shuvalov at the enlarged meeting of the Tajik-Russian intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic cooperation, RIA “Novosti”.

“We need to carefully prepare for the visit of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to Tajikistan, which will be held in the coming weeks. We hope that outstanding issues can be resolved to the visit of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. We look forward to this visit and hope that it will be effective,” he said.

According to Shuvalov, in the narrow format meeting, the parties discussed the issues of further development cooperation in energy, transportation and other industries.

“On all questions we were able to reach certain agreements. Thank you for your flexibility, we were able to move forward,” – concluded Deputy Prime Minister.

Earlier, Deputy Minister of transport of Tajikistan Sherali Gangasta said that Russia and Tajikistan have agreed to remove restrictions on flights of “Somon air” in the Russian regions.
