In the state Duma a draft law on the Russian equivalent of the American green card. On Friday, January 27, said the developer of the document, the Deputy of the lower house of Parliament from LDPR Vladimir Sysoyev, RIA Novosti reported.
“The bill I have in work, I plan to contribute [to the Duma] in the spring, probably. I think that in March,” — said the MP.
It is planned that the document will simplify the procedure of granting Russian-speaking foreigners, particularly from neighboring countries of residence. The author of the initiative said that we are talking about skilled workers. “Now to get a residence permit in Russia we have quotas, which is not enough. People in which interested the country, cut off from the possibility to obtain a residence permit on the lawful bases”, — said Sysoev.
Currently coming to work in Russia must obtain either a migration card for a period of three months, or work the patent, which is valid for not more than a year. They also have to pass a comprehensive exam on the Russian language, the basics of history and law.
In December 2015 the Russian regions received the right to determine the number of labor migrants in the territories of the industries in which they have the right to work. On this basis, the authorities of the Novosibirsk region forbidden to foreigners to work in kindergartens and schools, on public transport, in mining and other areas.
Green card — a document that allows a person who is not a citizen of the United States to live and work legally in this country.
