Medvedev has set two world records at the European championship in figure skating

Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva became a two-time European champion and set two new world records at the European championship in figure skating, held in the Czech Ostrava, reported TASS.


 


The Russian athlete established a new world record for total points in a short and arbitrary program, their number amounted to 229,71. The previous record belonged to the representative of South Korea Kim Yu-na.


 


In addition, Medvedev scored 150,79 points in the free program, thus setting another world record.


 


Earlier it became known that the Russian skaters Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov took gold in the competition of sports pairs in the same tournament. Russian couple in the total amount of scored points 227,58 that allowed her to climb to the top spot of the podium, despite losing the long program, where the Russians lost to a team from Germany.
