The President of the United States, Donald trump intends to create a Syria safe zone for the civilian population. As reported on Wednesday, January 25, Reuters stated in the draft decree, which was available to the news Agency.
The document States that the Secretary of state together with the Minister of defence shall, within 90 days from the date of publication of the decree to develop a plan for the organization in Syria and in the adjacent States of the security zone where Syrian refugees can wait for such procedures, as the potential repatriation or resettlement in a third country.
According to the Associated Press, trump is also going for 120 days to suspend the admission of refugees to the United States. It is assumed to impose an indefinite ban on the entry of migrants from Syria.
Earlier on January 25 Donald trump signed Executive orders that authorize the construction of a wall on the border of USA and Mexico, as well as tightening policy towards immigrants. In particular, those who arrived in the United States illegally and violated us laws will be deported with “one way ticket”.
The possibility of creating “safe (no-fly) zone” in Syria discussed in the administration of its predecessor trump Barack Obama, but it was decided that it is too difficult and may result in the retraction of the United States in the conflict within the Arab Republic.
In ending October 2016 financial year, WA took about 12.5 thousand Syrian refugees from Syria, is an order of magnitude less than other countries, including Turkey and the European Union. All in all, that year, the shelter in the U.S. was provided to 85 thousand refugees, and in 2013-2015, the figure was up to 70 thousand people annually.
During the election campaign Donald trump promised to deport about 11 million people living illegally in the United States, and to build a wall on the border with Mexico, and to do so at its expense.
