The Ministry of justice of Ukraine in 2014 has filed five inter-state lawsuits against Russia in European court of human rights (ECHR). This was stated by the head of the Ministry Pavel Petrenko.
“There are five big Affairs of Ukraine against Russia in ECHR”, — he said on air of the Ukrainian “Fifth channel”.
According to him, we are talking about claims related to the events in Crimea and the Donbass. In addition, there are cases of orphans, brought from the Donbass in Russia, which Ukraine regards as “illegal kidnapping”.
On 16 January Ukraine submitted to the international court of justice in the Hague a lawsuit against Russia in the framework of the International Convention for the suppression of the financing of terrorism and the International Convention on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination.
