Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin does not agree with the statement by the Vice-President of the USA Joe Biden about the pressure from Russia on the small States. This is reported by the Rambler/news citing RIA Novosti.

Biden in his speech at the world economic forum in Davos, said that Russia is trying to subvert world order and destroy the European Union to return to the zones of influence. According to him, Moscow is using energy, the interruption of gas supplies in mid-winter and raising prices as a weapon.

In response to this, Peskov said that “Russia would never threaten anyone” and “has always been a reliable and predictable partner”. He also noted that Moscow has always opposed the “hysterical, emotional russophobian background” that “imposed from outside” the Baltic States and Eastern Europe. Peskov stressed that Russia is interested in “good relations” with these countries.

“Russia didn’t destroy the entire country and is not going to do it, on the contrary, actively participates in the fight against terrorism in order to save the country”, – concluded the representative of the Kremlin.
