Power is located on the Arctic circle Salekhard banned there a gay pride parade. About it “Interfax” was informed in the city administration.

“Received notice of the 29 and 31 January meetings, January 30 — March. It was designed for 300 people. The applicant directed the refusal,” — said the Agency interlocutor, noting that the reason for this decision was the act on the protection of children from information harmful to their health and development.

It is noted that LGBT activists first appealed to the administration of Salekhard with a request to hold public events.

The leader of the Moscow LGBT community, Nikolay Alexeyev on his page in “Vkontakte” wrote that the bans appealed to the Salekhard city court of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district. “The case, if necessary, will be brought to the European court of human rights. It’s already 65-th subject of the Russian Federation, forbade such actions,” he said.

In November authorities banned LGBT activists from holding public events in Novosibirsk, in October, in Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Saransk and Penza. In September refused to agree on holding a gay pride parade in Tyumen, Kaluga, Tula, Tver, Saint-Petersburg, Vladimir and Yaroslavl. The organizers appealed against these decisions in the courts.
