MOSCOW, 5 ANR – RIA Novosti. The President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte to attend a large anti-submarine ship “Admiral Tributs” the tanker “Boris Butoma”, which are located in the port of Manila on a friendly visit, reported RIA of news in Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Philippines.
The Russian ships arrived at the port of Manila for replenishment of food, the rest of the team, as well as visiting representatives of the armed forces of the Philippines with a friendly visit. The ships will stay in port until 7 January.
“The question of the visit of the President of the Philippines on ships currently worked out”, — have informed in Embassy of the Russian Federation, answering the question whether Duterte to visit the Russian ships.
The Russian Embassy also commented on publications of some mass media with reference to the RF Ambassador in Manila Igor Howeva that Russia is ready to supply the Philippines with modern weapons, including aircraft and submarines. “The Ambassador was told that Russia is ready to supply weapons in accordance with international law and the legislation”, — noted in the Embassy.
