The state Department has accused Damascus of pressure on the opposition during a truce in Syria

Washington believes that Damascus is using the truce in Syria to put pressure on the opposition. This was stated by the representative of the state Department of the USA John Kirby.

“As we have seen in the last 24-36 hours, the Syrian regime enjoys any decrease in the activity of fighting to continue to put pressure on the opposition,” — says Kirby.

Earlier the UN security Council unanimously adopted a resolution in support of a ceasefire in Syria proposed by Russia and Turkey. The army and the armed groups agreed to observe the ceasefire in all the Syrian territory from midnight on 30 November. The agreement excludes banned terrorist organization “dzhebhat an-Nusra” and “Islamic state”.
