Part of the armed opposition froze preparations for the talks in Astana

Armed groups of the Syrian opposition said that the “freeze all contacts associated with the preparation for the talks in Astana”, which was to be held in late January. The message was signed by representatives of 12 groups. It is reported TASS with reference to the channel Al Arabiya.


 


In a statement, the militants said that the government army is violating the ceasefire in the valley of Wadi Barada and in the region of Eastern ghouta near Damascus and in the province of Hama and Deraa.


 


In turn, publishing SANA reported that government forces attacked solely on the positions of terrorists “Islamic state” and “Dzhebhat EN-Nusra” (both group banned in Russia).


 


From midnight on 30 December in Syria came a ceasefire, initiated by Russia, Turkey and Iran. The Syrian army and most of the military groups agreed to adhere to the ceasefire declared across the country.
