Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin’s position on the ban on adoptions of Russian children by U.S. citizens has not changed. “In fact, this ban, it is quite justified. And now all such discussion is not carried out, i.e. I do not exclude that maybe, on some level, various options are being discussed, but I repeat, at the highest level any change in approach is not”— said Mr. Sands, “Kommersant FM”.

Earlier it was reported that the Commissioner for children’s rights Anna Kuznetsova said that Russia may lift the ban on adoption of Russian children by Americans. According to her, all decisions are dependent on the position of the new American administration.
