The UN security Council recognized the murder of the Russian Ambassador in Ankara terrorist attack

The UN security Council recognized that the murder of the Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov is a terrorist act and strongly condemned it. Members of the UN security Council urged to bring all those involved in the murder to justice, RIA Novosti reported.


 


Earlier the Russian foreign Ministry said that the issue of the murder of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation will be presented to the UN security Council. As stated by the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, “terrorism will not pass”, she expressed hope that the dialogue about the murder of the Russian Ambassador in the security Council would be “open and honest”.


 


19 December, an armed man attacked the Russian Ambassador during his speech at the exhibition “Russia through the eyes of the Turks.” Andrew Charles received a gunshot wound, the result of which he died. Later , the police managed to eliminate the attacker.
