Pensioner fined for extremist lectures in Kostroma

In Kostroma, the court fined 90 thousand rubles 56-year-old woman for extremist lectures. On Thursday, December 15, reported on the website of the regional investigative Department of the TFR in the region.

According to the investigation, from 2014 to 2016, the defendant rented a room on the street Knyazev, where classes, lectures and discussions with local residents. At the meetings she “carried out the promotion of public hostility, hostility to persons on the grounds of belonging to a national-ethnic groups of people.” Also retired were distributed books and brochures with extremist statements.

As previously reported, “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the woman was arrested in November. She was a member of a religious organization with elements of the occult “Seasona literacy” and promoted national superiority of the Russian people.

In October, the court found the 62-year-old resident of Chuvashia guilty of extremism for the repost in social networks “Vkontakte” and sentenced him to two years probation. The judge found the man guilty of inciting hatred on a national basis due to the fact that he shared on his page open letter of the journalist Boris Stomakhin.
