Answering the question of when members of the armed forces leave Aleppo, he said that “within hours”.

As reported previously, the Associated Press Agency with reference to Syrian opposition groups reached an agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Aleppo “to evacuate the remaining civilians and fighters from the besieged areas.”

In turn, Russia’s permanent representative said that now the Eastern districts back under the control of the Syrian government and civilians, “there is no need to leave.” The diplomat stressed that everything is ready to conduct humanitarian operations, which he will describe in detail at a meeting of the security Council.

The situation in Aleppo

Churkin also said that the Russian military, stationed in Aleppo, did not observe any violations of international humanitarian law.

“I’m curious to know the source of this information. There (in Aleppo) are our military, the people, the ICRC (International Committee of the red cross) and some humanitarian UN staff — they should be better known. According to my information, our military is not observed there are no violations of international humanitarian law”, — the diplomat said, heading to the meeting of the Security Council of the world organization.

Earlier today, a representative of the office of the UN high Commissioner for human rights Rupert Colville said that the United Nations has received reports of the deaths of dozens of civilians during the fighting in Aleppo. Some of these messages were not confirmed, he said.
