The number of poor in Russia in January-September remained at the level of 2015

The number of the Russian population with incomes below the subsistence minimum in January-September 2016 remained at the level of 2015 in annual terms, reaching 20.3 million people. This is 13.9% of the total population of the country. About it reports Rosstat.

The number of Russians with incomes below the minimum subsistence level increased in the third quarter of the year to 900 thousand people and amounted to 18.8 million people versus 17.9 million in the third quarter of last year.

The subsistence minimum for the III quarter of 2016 made 9889 rubles, for able-bodied population – 10678 rubles, for pensioners – 8136 roubles, for children – 9668 rubles.

The minimum wage in the III quarter of 2016 amounted to 7500 rubles against 5965 rubles in the third quarter of last year.
