Aviation aerospace forces in Aleppo completely stopped already for 44 days, Russian planes do not approach the city closer than 10 kilometers, said Wednesday the chief of the main operations Directorate of the General staff of the armed forces of the Russian Federation Sergey rudskoy.
According to him, Russia continues to assist the Syrian government in the fight against international terrorist groups operating in the territory of this country.
“I want to remind you that from 18th of October for 44 days in Aleppo completely stopped flying aircraft of Russian air force. Russian planes do not approach the city closer than 10 kilometers,” he said at a briefing.
In recent months, the situation in Aleppo is extremely deteriorated, in and around the city of heavy fighting. The terrorist group belonging to banned in Russia “dzhebhat an-Nusra” (“Haraket Nur-ed-DIN Al-Zinki” and “Ahrar al-sham”), hold about 200-300 of thousands of civilians in the Eastern quarters of the city and thwart any of their attempts to leave through the designated army humanitarian corridors.
