Balbec explained the meaning of the Kiev “mufti-clone” in the Crimea

Ruslan Balbec

Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on nationalities, Deputy Ruslan Balbec called fake election in Ukraine, the mufti of the Crimea. This point of view, the MP announced in an interview with “Tape.ru” on Friday, November 25.

“Assigned to the virtual mufti, not having supported a single mosque in Crimea, which has no connection with the spiritual life of the Peninsula,” said Balbec, who was elected to the lower house of Parliament from the Peninsula. He added that assesses the incident as “political games that use the religious factor”.

According to the MP, this is done in order to “mufti-clone”, speaking at international venues, demonstrated the alleged plight of the Crimean Tatars and “created an image of the oppressed nation”. Balbec said that in the Crimea already has a legitimately elected mufti Hajji Emirali Ablaev.

First Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual administration of Muslims (DUM) of Russia and the Council of Muftis of Russia Rushan Abbyasov, in his turn, called on Crimean Muslims not to succumb to this provocation, reports TASS. He stated that the THOUGHTS expressed support for the mufti of Crimea Ablaeva.

According to the Agency, on November 19 in Kyiv at the Congress of Muslims of Ukraine was established the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Crimea, which was headed by the head of Committee of spiritual values of the Muslims during the reign of the Association of Crimean Tatars eider Rustamov.

Mutfi of Crimea shall be elected at the Kurultai [Congress] of the Muslims of the Peninsula, which meets once in five years. Next election due in 2018. The election of the mufti to any person outside of the Peninsula, is illegitimate.

Crimea became part of Russia after the March 2014 referendum in which the majority of inhabitants of the region have supported such a decision. Kiev refused to recognize the results of the plebiscite. In Moscow insist that the accession of the region conform to the norms of international law.
