During the awarding ceremony of the laureates of the prizes of the Russian geographical society, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian border nowhere ends.
It became clear during a conversation with 9-year-old schoolboy, Miroslav Oskirko, who became an Internet star for his knowledge of capital cities of all countries of the world.
“And where does the border of Russia?” Putin asked Miroslav.
“The border of Russia ends in the Bering Strait, where the United States,” said the boy.
In response, Putin laughed and said, “the Border Russia never ends”.
